The London Borough of Bromley announced the closures, stating that the order has a maximum duration of 18 months.

Until the works are completed, vehicles will not be allowed to wait in the specified streets.

Vehicles in violation of this rule may be removed under the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The council may also remove vehicles according to its powers.

Additionally, no vehicle will be permitted to proceed in any of the listed streets or any adjacent streets.

One-way systems will also be in place.

Traffic displaced due to these prohibitions will be diverted via local streets as necessary.

However, the prohibition will not apply to cul-de-sacs.

The restrictions will only be in effect during times and to the extent indicated by traffic signs.

Access to properties will be maintained as far as practicable from either side of the closure.

Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times.

The order does not apply to vehicles involved in the works, nor does it affect actions carried out with the permission of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden.

The council has stated that the disruption is necessary to ensure the safety and functionality of the roads.

Residents are advised to expect delays and plan their journeys accordingly.

The council has assured that all efforts will be made to minimise disruption and complete the works as quickly as possible.

The public is urged to remain patient and cooperate with the authorities during this period.

The London Borough of Bromley has apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked residents for their understanding and cooperation.

Further updates on the progress of the works will be provided in due course.

The council has also reminded residents that these improvements are part of its commitment to providing safe and efficient roadways for all users.
